Born Again Christians and JWs should look at the bigger picture and stop fighting with each other.
by booker-t init just amazes me how born again christians and jws are fighting and mudslinging at each other all the while not looking at the real problem in front of them the bible.
the bible has been used for thousands of years to committ all sorts of horrible crimes against others.
i am so sick and tired of reading about jws did this and that and christians did this and that when both groups will refuse to explain all of the contradictions and outright discrepencies in the bible.

Early whale ancestors had hooves?
by hamsterbait ini have been online looking for actual images of the hoofed toes of early whales.. there is no lack of articles that say "such and such" had hooves on their toes, like their land dwelling ancestors.. i want images pictures of the relevant fossils.. all these references to hooves alone is like the self referencing of the wt with no actual tangible proof.. i am sick to death of looking at drawings that dont really prove anything....

How to accept the actions of the Old Testament God
by confusedandalone inhow are we able to do this.. this is not an attempt to stir the pot or cause confusion but i was sitting here thinking of all the really horrid things that the old testament god did to people.
when i was a jw i just purposely put it to the back of my mind always trying to make an excuse.
when i was in field service and someone would ask me about it i would just change the subject.. however i have been reading alot of info lately here about how wonderful jesus is and how he is a direct representation of what god the father would be.

For all believers: I have a serious question
by confusedandalone ingod ordered the killing of men women and children and animals and pillaging of various nations around them.
in some instances god apparently led the way with his might arm.. this is not a question of wether it is right or wrong, but moreso a question(s) of:.
1. if you were there would you have personally participated in those killings or would you ignore the commands?.

to be fair (assuming those stories have any historical background at all), and to stress godwins law, this indeed is a question similar to what would you have done if you were living in nazi germany during the 30s and early 40s (being of germanic descent that is). the answer is, nobody knows. different times, huge pressure, no way out.
on the other hand, why would someone follow a god or führer like that and hold up his morals now. why are there still nazis around in our time and age. why are there still christians around. hard to understand.

doesn't matter if 99% or 89% or even 20% for that matter.
anyway, given that not even 5% of the worlds population is evangelical, about 10% if you count in pentecostals, sta, lds and jehovah's witnesses, and given the disagreements between the different groups, some of which you refer to as cults, counting at least 8 bigger branches and hundereds of smaller ones, there's not much left for the born again übermenschen.

how do you call someone who's threatening to torture and/or kill more than 99% of human population (even most christians)? and how do you call someone who defends that person and holds up his morals?
born agains as well as JWs and other cults always pretend they are trying to save people from some natural disaster. i'm saved, i'm saved. from what, from who? from the wrath of your adolf hitler times 10000 in the sky.
